We are pleased to confirm our events for 2019. Full details will be published shortly. All will include a guided tour and refreshments.
Wednesday 13 February, a visit to Ston Easton Park, Ston Easton nr Bath @ 2pm. We will be guided on a walk around the Repton landscape and walled garden by the Head gardener. This is the only surviving Repton landscape in Somerset and samples of the Red Book will be available to view.
Thursday 11 April @ 2pm – a visit to Goldney House and Clifton Hill House. These Registered gardens are in the ownership of Bristol University so are not open to the public. The Rotunda at Goldney has recently been restored and the gardens of Clifton Hill House settled following a complete renovation and restoration to its former glory.
Wednesday 19 June a private visit to Halswell Park, Goathurst @ 1pm. This grade 1 house was listed in the 1086 domesday book and been inhabited ever since. The private park and gardens are undergoing a complete restoration to their former glory with much work already completed.
Wednesday 17 July a private visit to Eastleach House, Cirencester @ 2pm. This extensive stunning garden is not open to the public, but we will be introduced to the garden by the owners before we have a self guided tour of the grounds.
Saturday 19 October our AGM and garden tour of Tyntesfield @ 1pm. Following the short meeting we will join the head gardener pointing out the impressive trees and hopefully witnessing the colour changes of Autumn.
