We recently donated £500 to St Mungo’s for their horticultural programme. a letter of thanks is below.
Dear Kay
A huge thank you from St Mungo’s
We want to thank you for generously donating £500 to support our vital services at St Mungo’s.
Your donations are helping to fund St Mungo’s Putting Down Roots (PDR) project, our horticultural programme to support our client’s recovery. Our PDR team run a number of programmes across the South West including the Castle Park community garden and our allotment in Cabot Circus. We also work across various gardens and nurseries in South Glos and North Somerset. We offer our clients a two year placement to work with us, giving them a new skill and providing a sense of community and achievement.
Through projects such as PDR, our ultimate aim is to help every person we meet in supporting them to recover and rebuild their lives.
St Mungo’s is committed to enabling men and women to recover from both the causes and consequences of homelessness. The number of people rough sleeping is on the rise, the cost of housing is increasing and support services continue to face funding cuts.
Without donations from supporters like yourself, we would not be able to carry out the wide range of services we run, or reach our ambitions to grow the number of people we can support, so thank you.
Thank you so much for helping us bring hope to people at risk of and experiencing homelessness. We hope to have your invaluable support in the future.
Best wishes,
Alexandra Henden
